Retirement Plans

Why would I donate my retirement assets to MSF?

These plans have tax-benefits for accumulating assets but at death they may be subjected to both income and estate taxes. Without planning, more than 60% of the value of your tax-deferred accounts may go to paying taxes. Gifting these accounts makes use of the full value of the assets.

What are the benefits of donating my retirement assets?

  • Reduced taxes upon death
  • Can be accomplished by filling out a simple form
  • You will provide support for MSF's programs

How would I go about naming MSF as a beneficiary of my retirement accounts?

The first step is to request a "change of beneficiary" form from your retirement plan. You can name MSF as sole or partial beneficiary, or you can name it us a contingent beneficiary in case you are predeceased by your primary beneficiary.

You will need to list us as the following for the form:

Doctors Without Borders USA, Inc. (our legal name)
333 7th Avenue, 2nd Fl.
New York, NY 10001
Tax ID: 13-3433452
